Michigan has more than 2 million adults over the age of 60, nearly 25% of the state's population. Michiganders 85 and older remain the fastest-growing age group, and 37% of Michigan residents are 50 and older.
Caring, honoring, and listening to the elders in our lives – making the effort to check on them, drive them, help them, include them, and be with them.
A person who has dedicated her life to the care and help of the elderly is the founder and leader of the organization Next Steps for Seniors, who offers help, often filing in the gaps of the government and families on behalf of Michigan’s elderly population is Founder & CEO of Next Steps for Seniors, Wendy Jones.
