Michigan DNR and Food Bank Council of Michigan Partner Through Hunters Feeding Michigan Program

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources has contracted with the Food Bank Council of Michigan to support the Hunters Feeding Michigan program, a collaborative effort that connects hunters, meat processors, and food banks to provide donated venison to families in need across the state.

In 2024 alone, more than 195 million pounds of food were distributed by Michigan’s Feeding America food banks, initiatives like this one make an important contribution to that total.

We’re proud to be working with the Michigan DNR to nourish Michigan communities.
