Food insecurity increases after pandemic-era benefits end and prices at store are up

It’s been almost three months since those extra pandemic-era food benefits ended.

And food banks say they are now seeing more and more people walk through their doors.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics says food prices have gone up 7.7 percent compared to last year.

And now with people getting less government assistance, these food banks are seeing and hearing how it’s impacting people.
