Candace Cowen serves as a SNAP Helpline Specialist. In this role, she is responsible for assisting clients that are seeking to connect to resources and services through our statewide helpline, to support FBCM’s efforts to increase access to food assistance in Michigan.

Cowen started her journey to the Food Bank Council of Michigan working with Medicaid populations and in the health insurance sector. She is passionate about working to end food insecurity, and has had personal experience with it that motivates her efforts. Making a difference one application at time to work towards eliminating food insecurity drives her forward daily.
