Peter Vogel

Peter Vogel has been the CEO at South Michigan Food Bank since January of 2019. Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, he has a Master of Science Degree in Human Services from Bellevue University, and undergraduate degrees in Sociology, Psychology, and Secondary Education.  Spending his entire career in non-profit organizations, he worked as CEO of Catholic Charities in Reno, NV for nine years, where he grew the organization seven-fold. Prior to Catholic Charities, Vogel worked as a Research Scientist for the Boys Town National Research Institute and before that was the Vice President of Program Operations for Alexander Children’s Center in Charlotte, NC. His strengths involve growing non-profits through strengthening agency culture, building collaborations and creating a work environment conducive to retaining talent.
