FBCM Thanks Verizon Foundation for the New Look

Ben Reed and Attorney General

Food Bank Council of Michigan (FBCM) has made important technological progress in support of their mission, with generous support from the Verizon Foundation. A grant from Verizon made it possible for FBCM to invest in important communication tools that support a statewide hunger relief network.

Technological improvements include a new website, which through image and content shares our vision of food security in Michigan. The site emphasizes resources to those seeking emergency food assistance, as well as those seeking to learn more about food security. The website includes an interactive map of Michigan, food bank opportunities (such as volunteer, job openings, and events), and a streamlined and cost effective donation processing center.

FBCM also unveiled a new logo, which represents our collaborative food bank network. Seven loops represent our seven member food banks, which serve all 83 counties in Michigan. The new logo is accompanied with a bold color palette, bringing to life a clean and balanced image.

Verizon is a long-time supporter of FBCM and important hunger relief work being done in Michigan. In 2014, Verizon was honored with The Bridge Award at the annual Michigan Harvest Gathering. The Bridge Award recognizes the importance of connections and collaboration. By supporting FBCM’s web technologies and brand, Verizon has certainly helped to build a bridge for our organizational impact.

Thank you Verizon! Your loyalty, compassion, and support of our mission is truly outstanding.
